We are pleased to announce that Roadnet Transportation Suite v3.50 is now in limited release. All of our new customers will receive this version as well as any customer interested in upgrading to the latest and greatest in logistics technology. This version of our route planning software has several enhancements that are briefly noted below.
An improved Service Time Maintenance Tool provides better clarity when updating a Location’s service time with actual data captured by drivers. The route optimisation tool can also be used by companies that do pick-up and retrieval routes, providing greater flexibility across several different industries.
Due to evolving business models and governmental regulations regarding workers and breaks management, additional functional enhancements have been made to expand the Automatic Breaks Management capability in Roadnet®.
When there’s a truck full of cartons, unfortunately sometimes one or two get overlooked at the point of delivery. As more deliveries are made and the piles dwindle, drivers may find items that were meant to be delivered to stops that were already done. Now, rather than returning these items back to the depot to have them sent out on the next day’s route, you can use the Return to Stop and Redeliver option in MobileCast®.
If you’re a company that has a more stable routing model, you might be routing with Territory Planner®. In that case, analysis enhancements have been made such as adding a new Location Delivery Cost report and being able to differentiate Depots in the map view.
In addition to these new features, we are introducing a new Mid-Route Sourcing capability for the solid waste industry. This vehicle routing feature culminates hundreds of hours of research and development to solve the complex problem of routing and servicing roll-off containers a big challenge for solid waste companies not adequately handled with standard delivery routing algorithms.
